I have a KD4. I’m not sure what the “S” on yours means.
Coils could very well be bad regardless if it has the Scintilla
or Eisemann ignition, but either can be contended with.

That’s just a fancy flywheel nut. I’m sure they have a special
tool. You can either rig up some kind of spanner wrench,
or use a pipe wrench carefully.
Prepare to be boarded!
