    Damon Red Kote is the sealant I have used on steel and aluminum tanks. Unlike other sealants redkote stays flexible.
    Follow the instructions and you’ll have great results. Thinning with some acetone and using 2 coats is the method that works best for me. A quart will do several outboard tanks.
