    I am away from home at the moment and can’t look up the parts manuals but it is possible you have a rod activated plastic finger on top of the starter gear that is activated by the shift lever…in gear it won’t turn over at all…will seem locked up. The one in oldobnuts pic just won’t let the starter gear engage the flywheel. I would know more when I can get in front of my computer.
