My ’59 Lark may be a parts motor with something blown too – after running for a couple years, it stopped on the lake with a loud “POP” noise. Now I can only turn the flywheel about 1/4 turn by hand – maybe a bent rod? That was 2 years ago and I haven’t gotten around to tearing it down. It may provide parts for my ’58 Super Sea Horse 35 that needs lower gearcase parts – oh and that motor is completely stuck, but the price was right.. I have been fixing the easier motors first. Next may be a 1958 35 standard Johnson that doesn’t turn completely over because of a mouse nest in the lower cylinder that I can see through the spark plug hole..The mouse must have come up the exhaust housing while it was stored horizontally in a garage by the previous owner.
