Sorry has taken a while to reply.
Partially reassembled the difficult connectors and partially pushed in the brass retainer. Aligned and centered the connector on the fixture. All 8 popped out easily while aligned. Cannot understand why they were so hard to disassemble while having to misalign on the fixture during the first disassembly. The removal multisided rod was deformed and slightly bent like a 20 year old iron wood splitting wedge. Am satisfied with the fixture but may need to purchase a new 2.5 – 3 inch rod.

Connectors are definitely all OMC connectors.

Aquasonic Will order some of the springs in the future. Thank you.

My only question is. Should the cavity below the brass retainer be perfectly clean to operate properly?
