The NOS points came in so today I replaced the points, condensers, spark plug wires and the coils. While I had the carburetor intake silencer off I decided to see if the throttle valve was moving to the fully horizontal position when I had the gear lever in forward and the throttle lever in wide open position. Interestingly it was completely vertical and was not moving at all as I advanced the throttle back and forth. I checked all the linkages and they all seem to be in the correct positions and moving when I advance the throttle. Any ideas of what I might have done to create this situation?
