    I have a Caille like that. The previous owner put a thin steel strap across the crack and bolted it down. It works really well. I have since found a good replacement mag plate, but I don’t run this particular motor so I didn’t bother changing it. Your mag could be welded and machined though it may break again. Aluminium brazing rods won’t work for this repair.
