    I put them in all my 3hp Gales, which have similar hardware. They work fine. Note that in the Gale motors you have to trim a bit off the top of the float which reduces the buoyancy. Trim off too much and it sinks. If I remember correctly, I didn’t have to trim the one that went in my Johnson. .Moral is, keep it as tall as you can.
