    this model has the flex line to prime the engine. I have the front cowl off so I can see the primer move and smell gas. the second unit I spoke of has a different carburetor set-up for the primer. straight shaft, no flex line. i am thinking the condensers may be an issue in getting this unit started. My method of testing (based on recent article in Outboarder) magazine was lacking the proof needed.
