Look below for the “1939 Johnson 5 HP” Instructions for ordering new primer seals and installation instructions are provided in that thread. You may also need to test and clean out the one way ball valve at the bottom of the carb that takes fuel up to the low speed orifice. Spray out of the low speed orifice is normal when priming as Frank noted above. 231-929-7479
