I was amazed how slow it would run and the smoothness of it since its a 4 stroke their is virtually no vibration. At idle it is like a whisper about a 1/4 of the sound the video makes it out to sound like and its not even in water. I got 2 of them the other one is missing the recoil starter assembly but I think I will fix it also just use a rope to start it. I picked them up for like 40 bucks super cheap can’t remember exactly what I paid but I think I will keep one on my little 14 foot aluminum fishing boat which stays on the lake for troll fishing and if it gets stolen I wouldn’t be out much. When I rev it up it sure feels like more than 3 hp it does have a cylinder head on it that looks to be higher compression unlike the ones I saw as a boy on Tecumseh lawn mower engines the plug screws in near the intake valve on a slant and its not located in the center of the cylinder. Can’t wait to see how it pushes the boat.
