To avoid breaking bolts use a pointer tyoe torque wrench & never go past rated value trying to remove. Hold the stainless baffle up to a light & look for pin holes. On all exhaust builds bolts I use steam type anti seeze from locktite. As Don says check for flatness on mating surfaces. Ever think of using studs & nuts to secure? If you have room for nuts?
