Do not hold your breath in regard to future support on parts from BuRP. As one can tell from past actions they have been raising prices on replacement part on Evinrude and Johnson motors to unheard of levels. They have wanted all of the old customers and motors to go away and not be bothered. Back in the 1980’s OMC sales people wanted to sell more new motors but the amount of good used OMC product stopped all of that talk. Once the federal time limit on replacement parts runs out on the new motors new parts manufacturing will end. The same thing happened with the Yamaha stern drive parts. Yes some parts will still be sold in after market but choices will be more limited.
