    I checked the pivot shaft / handle bracket for the ’57 Johnson and Evinrude. They are all the same part # for manual and electric start.
    Tiller handle is an option for electric start motors.
    Transom half bracket was an easy swap for me.
    Don’t know about the mount issue or solid handles but I do see a lot of broken ones.
