    So I took everything apart to see what I could find…and clean. Everything looked good and was where it was supposed to be. When I got to the steering handle I noticed the shock absorbers and thrust plug looked a bit worn down. So I took some 1/8″ rubber gasket material I had and placed some pieces under each. After reassembly with a firm snugging on the pump body clamp screw, everything is solid as Sears! Even the port and starboard play is gone. Thanks for the help gentleman!!
