Reply To: Mercury KE4 impeller help needed

I tore the motor back apart took off foot, both covers around cylinder and exhaust. Didnt find any impeller blades or blockages but i blew everything out, flushed everything and put it back together. It starts and spits water for about 20 seconds, once it warms up no more water and gets hot. If i let it sit for a few hours it will do the same thing, spray water for 20 seconds then quit. Cant figure it out for nothing. Makes no sense to me..
