Well, it is tough to advise on this….You are saying that the pistons are stuck in the cylinders, correct? Or, are you saying the rings are stuck in the piston grooves? I would definitely soak the pistons/cylinders for a few days in an effort to free everything up…. Once it is freed up, you can pull the powerhead apart. I’m sure you can find a decent used powerhead if yours is too far gone/rusted. Try to post some pictures so we can advise you better…
