I’ve had a lot of great mentors over the years, all with various techniques
and styles. My grandfather taught me “fix it yourself”, and sometimes
you just “need a bigger hammer”. My father taught me persistence……
he was persistence I helped him work on his 1966 International
propane delivery truck almost every weekend, because something was
always breaking! My uncle taught me lots of tricks in small engine repair,
and a few old time sayings……. “Slipperier than snot on a grease rag”
and “shinier than a schoolmarm’s knee” , and best yet, his interest
in “old outboards”.

“Slipperier than snot on a grease rag!”

Tom, I got my money’s worth today. Thank you!
