I would guess that it is an Evinrude ranger (1.1HP) or sportsman (2HP). It is in good shape but still not worth anything near what he is asking. Also it is not as old as he has stated i would guess that it is from the 1946-1948 era. looks a lot like my sportsman but with a standard lower unit unlike my weedless one.
