Reply To: Odd Mercury KE4?

I was out looking at my KE4 after reading Louis’s KD4/KE4 post. Got to looking at the tiller and I was confused as it didn’t look like what I expected. Looking at the pic George posted I think I might have it figured out (maybe). Looks like it might be part of a twist throttle? I’m still confused about the hole on the flange at the base of the tiller (there’s one on both sides). Anyone know what they are for?
