Second: Success !! the little 1/8″ round clips in the above picture worked fantastic. I installed 2 to sandwich the carb link into it’s matching carb part ….see picture
a close look shows 2 round clips on the link. What was great about it is that after removing the worn out 8$ plastic retainer there is a nice round groove in the link into which the push nuts locks solidly
being galvanized spring steel they should last a long time $0.20 cents vs an $8.00 fix… plus shipping $$$
