Reply To: 6039 Speeditwin gear case lube?

My Speeditwin is the last model year, 1950. Didn’t some of the
outboards start switching over to gear oil / lube by then?

The gear case is fully jeweled with tapered roller
and ball bearings. I have corn head grease on hand,
so hopefully it’s not too viscous to flow into the bearings.

I hadn’t heard of the Super Spindle grease as an option.
