Most of the time all you have to do is clean the points and set them at .020.Doesn’t matter where mag handle is as long as they are fully open.Then you can look at bottom rim of fly wheel and find a factory mark,single groove.When points are just about to open,this should align with a similar mark on mag plate bottom.The mark on the mag plate is about 1/2 inch from the handle.If the marks don’t align exactly it will still run fine.
