I have used 847 for a while now. While up at Tomahawk this year, there were a group of *cough* fine gentleman* cough*, that were using the Permatex Ultra Black.
While watching those, *cough* fine gentleman* cough*, use the Ultra Black, I noticed how much easier it was while sealing gear cases, than the 847.
Other pluses include, the can of Ultra, did not puncture like the paper thin 847 tube, the Ultra black was also very easy to apply from the canister with the attached spout to control the bead and where it went. I have since bought a can of Ultra Black for future use when I run out of 847, which by the way, got punctured while in my tool case. 🙁
