George, great pic. Gives me food for thought.

I think I can use two cables, one to advance both the spark and the other the carb. It is a matter of a clean effective design. I was planning to use the shift for the mag and the normal throttle for the carb.

The approach will have to be one where there would be no permanent alteration of the engine components other than changing out a stud or two. I might pick up a spare front cover/cowl if there might have to be a modification to accommodate the cable set up.

Though easily changed the boat has an OMC engine style steering connector/pulley unit.
