At the time of that publishing (1953 ) Evinrude and Johnson were considered in competition and listed separately. I added the information I had to include the V-4 outboards. I still have not been able to find the capacitance of the Sportfour capacitor. At that time the Sportfour was long gone as it was more expensive to produce than the Speeditwin and put out less power. Table 1 was Johnson – 2 was Mercury – 3 was Marten & Oliver – 4 was Evinrude – 5 was a cross reference. . . .
