Mumbles, What would it take to convert said Neptune to “pointless” ignition using the B&S coil you refer to? Possible?
If the coil has an internal module, try it after removing or disconnecting the points. The coil only has one terminal besides the two spark plug ones, and it is for hooking up a kill switch.
