    Well I discovered that the timing mark on this Merc 950, and at least some 4 cyl engines, is 20 DEG ATDC!. I now have marked my flywheel with it’s new timing mark and the rest of the setup went as planned.
    Thanks Dave and all others that responded. It turned out top be a group effort!
