Found this in my files, saved from the forum a couple of years ago.
The wobbler type pumps “displace” the water around the rubber
rotor as the eccentric “wobbles” it, forcing water “up” to the
power head. There should be no gaps where indicated in the photo,
or water won’t be properly displaced, or “forced” up hill.
