Obviously not a major profit, but I really dig old vintage stuff and thought these were super cool so I picked them up thinking someone might need some spare parts for projects they’re restoring. Plus, my hope is that my son can help me dig into these and get one running. As I understand it, the complete Johnson runs, so now I’d like to learn how to test that. Any help would be appreciated, as I’m starting at zero.
I took additional photos of the starter motor and wiring harness for the Johnson, and also the fuel connection for the Mercury. I also took photos of the third motor, which I was told is a parts motor for the other. Can anyone tell me what the other parts in the are (shaft, gears and bottom housing)? I was told they had something to do with a long or short shaft for the Johnsons.
Would it be helpful for this forum to help me answer my questions if I took other shots (e.g., different angles, showing other parts that are under this cover or that one)?
