The merc is a 61-63 Merc 60 (6 hp). They are traditional style gear shift and not auto transmission as Frank already mentioned.
They are great little motors and run very smooth. Lightweight and will generally be a very healthy 6hp. Hope you got a fuel tank side fuel fitting for it. They are smaller than the typical mercury fitting and generally more expensive because they have been NLA for some time making them harder and harder to come by. I do see them pop up on eBay.
